The acidity and the alkalinity of water will affect the survival  and the growth of tadpoles into frogs.
The more extreme the pH values, the more the tadpoles' growth will be stunted. This is because the alkaline or acidic a solution is, the more corrosive and probably more poisonous it will be. Growth will most likely be stunted due to an unsuitable habitat.
We also expect some tadpoles to die due to the acidity or  alkalinity, or chemical properties of the solution.
Tadpoles in the most suitable pH value will grow the quickest.
